The SimAv congratulates Serena Ricci, winner of the first prize of the national competition "I present you my project" by the Friends of the Science Festival. The competition rewards the originality, the way the project is presented and above all the exhibition capacity.

The final phase of the competition and the award ceremony were held on Tuesday, May 21 at the Teatro Auditorium Stradanuova in Palazzo Rosso.

The projects submitted were selected by a Commission composed of staff from the University of Genoa and/or the Research Institutions that certified the scientific value of the project submitted. The Commission presented to the President of the Friends of the Science Festival Association the names of the three candidates who proposed the most deserving dissemination projects. The three candidates presented their project in 15 minutes before the members of a committee consisting of the president of the Friends of the Festival, the president of the Commission, a showman/woman and a public audience with voting rights. The winner was decreed based on the exhibition ability and storytelling he built.

The project involves the design and development of a low-cost birth simulator for the training of midwives and gynecologists, equipped with a physical model of sensorized baby and maternal belly that communicate in real time with a virtual reality application.
